All the Semblance of Life (But Life Itself)

from The Disconnect by Traitor

/

lyrics

What are these creatures that crawl before me?
These lifeless husks of men who could be
In sight and in mind they cannot be free
Together they thrive, alone they would die

There they stood
With all the semblance of life
...but life itself
There they stood
With all the parts but the spark of life itself

No drive to succeed no will to exceed
What is this scum that poisons my eye?
Lacking the simplest will to survive
Maggots that can't actualize

Gaze into the facing mirrors
Infinite thoughtless repetition
Cyclically led to the same conclusion
There is no inception point

I see now these wretched things before me
These empty reflections of society
What little is grasped they simply repeat
So ends the cycle in utter defeat
